Sven Ghouli's Crypt

Over the past two weeks, six townspeople have disappeared at night. Whispers have been spreading, and a town drunk has been loudly proclaiming that he saw a vampire coming from a mausoleum in the cemetery late last night.  With pressure mounting, the local mayor has agreed to offer a reward for the missing people.

"Sven Ghouli's Crypt" is a puzzle adventure module written for Shadowdark and similar fantasy role-playing games. It has been designed for parties of levels 1 or 2 and can be slotted into any setting.

The thief known as “Davis the Swindler” was fleeing capture when he decided to lie low in the town’s graveyard. While hiding inside a mausoleum, he stumbled upon a dormant lair of an ancient sect of vampires. A born opportunist, he has assumed the persona “Sven Ghouli” and begun recruiting people as his “thralls,” promising them eternal life as vampires in exchange for their devotion. They've been abducting people for their wealth, but little do they know they are surrounded by it. It's hidden, just a couple of puzzles away.
